Tradition with a modern twist
These cosy log cabins are located in a peaceful and serene part of the atmospheric Kościelisko village. They were built in 2018 from sturdy half-logs, using the traditional building method of Polish highlanders. The cabins are provided with beautiful furniture, handcrafted by local artists from precious species of wood, including ash, larch, heather, pear and apple tree. To ensure guest well-being and promote clean air, only eco-friendly construction materials and heating systems were used.

Tatrahytte log cabins
hese elegant log cabins were built using the traditional construction method of Polish highlanders. They are made from sturdy half-logs, stacked one on top of another, without using any nails. To join the corners of the cabins together, a traditional dovetail notching technique was used. Between the half-logs, there is an insulation layer made from recycled spruce wood fibre which keeps the cabin warm and ensures natural ventilation. It also serves as a decorative element for both the cabin exterior and interior. The laying pattern of the insulation material reflects the traditional methods used for ages in the construction of traditional shepherd shelters and was crafted by experts specialising in the renovation of old cottages in ethnographic museums.

Attractions
Our cabins are situated just steps from numerous hiking trails meandering through the Tatra National Park, including the green trail leading up to the Gubałówka mountain, from where you can take a stroll to Polana Szymoszkowa. Not far away are the trails to three breath-taking Tatra valleys: Dolina Kościeliska and Dolina Chochołowska (which are particularly popular in the springtime when crocuses start to bloom, creating splendid “purple carpets”) and Dolina Małej Łąki, which is a great starting point for hikes up to Giewont, Czerwone Wierchy and many other peaks.
In addition to the beautiful hikes and fun activities that tourists can enjoy while staying at our cabins (downhill skiing, biathlon, climbing, enduro, thermal springs, to name just a few), we also recommend the thrilling Dunajec River Gorge rafting experience and the unforgettable cable car rides up to Kasprowy Wierch and Butorowy Wierch which offer unsurpassed vistas of the mountains.

The views are stunning! Oh, and the cleanliness! The cabin was very clean, comfortable and smelled lovely. The glazing and decorations were amazing and the fireplace added warmth and cosiness to the evenings spent inside. The host thought of everything you might need during a stay like this. Highly recommend!!

The cabin is fantastically situated. There’s nothing like a cup of coffee on its beautiful deck offering a gorgeous view of Giewont. We hide a great time despite the not-so-great weather.
